Trax Data Plans are specially designed for tracking anything, anywhere in the world, granting free roaming, and the best possible coverage in 100+ supported countries!
Trax is a connected device. It has a built-in SIM Card and a subscription service, just like your mobile telephone. There are several prepaid data plan options, suitable for individual needs. Once the Data Plan is activated, the built-in SIM card will automatically connect your Trax device to the cellular network.
Trax uses GPS Satellites and mobile networks to calibrate and then send its position to the Trax App.
To connect to the cellular network, a SIM card is already included in the device (it is built-in, and therefore cannot be changed). All you need to do is activate it with a data plan. Please be aware that if you do not purchase a data plan for your GPS tracker, it will not work.
With one data plan you can use your Trax in all of our 100+ countries, at no extra cost!
After purchasing a data plan, you will receive a purchase confirmation email with an activation code.
After creating an account in the Trax App, and adding your GPS tracker there (with the ID & PIN provided in the box), you will be asked to enter the activation code received by email. This will activate the data plan.
Trax has a built-in SIM card incorporated in the device, that cannot be exchanged. You will only be able to use Trax with a Trax dedicated data plan.
